The Starry Night: Oil Pastels with Eastend Studio

Join Eastend Studio & Gallery to create your own version of Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. We will look at the painting & discuss the way van Gogh created a feeling of movement in his artwork. Using oil pastels, we will explore the use of blending & texture to recreate the iconic painting. Registration required; meet at Eastend Studio & Gallery, 143 W Michigan Ave, Marshall, MI, 49068, where instructor Kat Whaley will be our guide in one of the classrooms.

Hollywood: Made in Marshall

Ever wonder what it takes to bring a Hollywood movie to life? Get ready for an engaging journey through the fascinating world of filmmaking! Join Marshall native Scott T. Whitesell as he shares his passion for creating films right here in our community. Discover the intricate stages of movie-making, from the initial spark of an idea in scripting, through the crucial pre-production phase, the excitement of production, the meticulous work of post-production, & the details leading to the final release. Learn about the dedication & artistry involved in each step & hear Scott’s vision for making West Michigan a vibrant hub for cinematic storytelling.

Tenzi Tournament

Roll the dice to try to get 10 of the same number. Do it enough times & you could triumph as the Tenzi Tourney Champion! Grades 6-12 are invited to attend; registration is required.

Registration for afterschool programs opens the Friday before. For example, programs the week of May 26 open for registration on May 23.

Nintendo Switch Games

Bring your own Switch or play one of ours with your friends in one of four iconic Nintendo games including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Wonder, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, or Mario Party Superstars. Grades 6-12 are invited to attend; registration is required.

Registration for afterschool programs opens the Friday before. For example, programs the week of May 19 open for registration on May 16.
