Any resident of the Library District, five years of age or older, shall be allowed the privilege of
borrowing library materials upon presenting identification and registering with the library.
Applicants age 5 through 17 require a parent or guardian’s signature.
Getting a library card at MDL is simple! Visit the Help Desk with the corresponding items:
A photo ID with your current address**
Youth (Under 18)
A parent or guardian
Parent/guardian’s photo ID**
* Residents include those who live and/or own property in the City of Marshall, Eckford, Fredonia, Marengo, and Marshall Townships. Those in Fredonia and Marshall Townships who reside in the Harper Creek School District are not included as they are residents of the Willard Library system.
** If the address on your ID is not current, you may additionally bring a lease agreement or an official piece of mail (such as a bill) postmarked and delivered to your current address.
*** Non-resident senior citizens (ages 60+) and military veterans pay $50 per year for their households. Patrons can also pay for 6 month or 3 month cards upon request.
