Foraging for Natural Inks

Join illustrator, art curator & inkmaker, Gabrielle Eisma, for a hike at Wilder Creek Conservation Club followed by a colorful botanical workshop centered around making inks with foraged native & invasive plants. You will be introduced to many plant sources that create inks, learn tips & tricks for making your own botanical ink, & how to modify homemade ink to create different natural colors. Leave with a booklet of botanical ink recipes & tips for every color of the rainbow you can make in your own kitchen or studio, a color chart from the specially made inks from the class, & one bottle of ink to keep experimenting with at home.

Registration required & opens June 6; intended for adults but teens in grades 6+ welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing for a hike & bring a water bottle. Meet at Wilder Creek Conservation Club at 19833 D Dr S, Marshall, MI, 49068.
