August Teen Loot Box

Revel in all the colors of the rainbow this summer with Teen Loot Box. With colorful items each month, see if you can collect the entire spectrum! Plus, a professionally selected book will light up your brain. Keep the loot inside & return the library book & box when you are finished. August Loot participants must return their box in order to register for September’s box. Sign up while supplies last!

Registration is required & opens August 1. Teens who do not have a library card are welcome to participate; a non-library book will be provided. Email dykwellk@yourmdl.org with questions.

Our teen programs are for those entering grades 6-12 in the coming school year. Please verify the participant’s age when registering. Our programs are free (& very popular)! Reading with Leona

Come on in & meet Leona! Adopted as a puppy from Calhoun County Animal Center, Leona is now a certified therapy dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She is a seven-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier & spends her time cuddling, playing disc-golf, eating snacks, & reading, of course! Meeting new friends & listening to their favorite books is Leona’s favorite library activity.

You’ll receive a minimum 15 minute time slot during the hour once you sign in at the Help Desk; first come, first serve.

Outdoor Storytime

Be a part of our storytime community at the Capitol Hill School, where YourMDL staff will share favorite books, songs, & games designed for little learners to grow & prepare for school.

No registration required. This program is planned with ages 2-6 in mind, but all ages are welcome to attend. The Capitol Hill School is located at 606 Washington St, Marshall, MI, 49068. Inclement weather location is the library.

May Teen Loot Box

Library Loot is cheerfully given; so why not give it a try? Each month you register, a magical box of goodies awaits. Along for the journey is an expertly selected book to enjoy. Keep the loot inside & return the library book & box when you are finished. May Loot participants must return their box in order to register for June’s box. Sign up while supplies last!
