Little Explorers

May 11 @ 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Discovery is right around the corner as children learn while they play…right at home! Join Miss Brenda on Zoom while she demonstrates two activities that will encourage your young explorer to delve into the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math!

Registration required via email; program hosted virtually via Zoom. (Contact the library at least a couple of days prior to the event if you are not familiar with Zoom.)

You can choose to follow along and do the activities as Miss Brenda does them or simply watch and enjoy the show! Supplies for each activity are listed below.

Underwater Fireworks: one medium-sized clear container filled ¾ full with water, a smaller clear container left empty, oil (vegetable oil or similar works best), and water-based food coloring.

Homemade Play Dough Recipe: (makes enough for one child) Combine ½ cup flour, 1 tsp cream of tartar, and 7 tsp salt. Add ½ tbs vegetable oil, then ¼ cup water(gradually) and mix. Add water-based food coloring of choice and enjoy!
