History Hounds: From Isolationist to Internationalist

Senator Arthur Vandenberg was a leading voice for isolationism during the 1930s, but his foreign policy views changed after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He then led the Republican Party into internationalism, supporting the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, & NATO. Vandenberg’s leading biographer explores the life of this great Michigan statesman.
