Happy Camp: Birding vs. Birdwatching

Join photographer & birder Greg Bodke as he demonstrates the joys of birding you can have both in your backyard & in our local area. Greg will share the differences between birding & birdwatching, how to attract more birds to your yard, types of seed, feeders, & how to care for them, & stories from the field while birding. Novice & aspiring birders alike will benefit from the program. Greg has birded in all of Michigan’s 83 counties & across most of North America. He is excited to report he saw his 345th Michigan bird species in October 2021. He has also been a winner in multiple amateur photo contests including the overall winner in Michigan Nature Association’s Photo Contest in both 2020 & 2021! Registration required by Feb. 7; program hosted virtually via Zoom.
