2024 DIY Reading Challenge

January 2 - February 29

In 2024, do you want to: Read more books? Finish your to-be-read list? Explore new genres? Read the books you have at home? Discover new authors, places, or subjects? Read books written by diverse authors? Learn a new skill or go deeper into an interest? This year, Marshall District Library is launching a DESIGN-IT-YOURSELF Reading Challenge with the start of 2024.

You decide how long it lasts: only winter, until summer, or is it a year-long challenge? We’ll offer various types of challenges for you to choose from or you can truly create your own! Yes, we’ll also offer some incentives along the way…in case the Joy of Reading isn’t incentive enough.

Officially set your goal at the Help Desk! Writing your goal down & storing your record sheet at the library is a way to commit to your goal, check in with the library for recommendations, & collect some library goodies along the way! We won’t share your reading goal with anyone but will cheer you on toward your goal & offer recommendations when asked!

For reading recommendations, visit us or complete our book connection online & a customized book list will be provided by one of our librarians! Find it at https://www.yourmdl.org/services/book-recommendations.
