Books on Tap: The Travelling Cat Chronicles

May 6 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

In Japan, cats with crooked tales are signs of good fortune. Follow one such cat & his owner on a road trip to visit three longtime friends in The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa. Join the members of Books on Tap, a book club that seeks out the unbeaten path. No celebrity lists, no high-profile awards, but plenty of adventure, excitement, & reflection. In May, we travel along with Nana, a cat with a crooked tail, & his owner, Satoru. As they trek across Japan, their experiences “speak volumes about our need for connection–human, feline, or otherwise” (San Francisco Chronicle).

Meet at Dark Horse Commons: 511 S Kalamazoo Ave, Marshall, MI. Full food menu & $3 cans available for Book Club participants; no purchase necessary to participate. Please register so we can be sure to save you a seat. Book available at the library & via MeL.org.

Our programs are free (& very popular)! We often have a waiting list; if you register but can no longer attend, please let us know! Please note: Watch your email for a response, noting confirmation or waitlist status, within 24-48 hours. If you do not have regular email access, you may contact our Help Desk for assistance with registration.
